Ika Närhi is a Finnish artist specializing in 3D modeling. She creates unique worlds from her imagination, often combining the real with the unreal. Närhi’s goal is to build immersive exhibitions where the viewer can submerse into her world and forget the outside.
“Growing up I spent my time in the worlds of comic books and video games and to this day I find great inspiration in these themes and aesthetics.”
Ika spent five years in total studying arts in schools. She explored various medium and styles throughout the years, finally making her way into digital art. For her, 3D modeling allows her to create an endless universe, that she can arbitrarily squash into a 2D form.
